Cebu Caritas has started rolling out its Capacity-Building and Consultation seminars for Parish Caritas lay coordinators and volunteers of the seven ecclesiastical districts of the Archdiocese of Cebu.
Two teams are assigned to specific districts to facilitate the seminar, starting off last October 1, 2022 with simultaneous sessions at the Catholic Church of Christ of the Agony-Gethsemane Parish in Casuntingan, Mandaue City for District 7 (Near North) and in St. Joseph Parish in Sangi, Alegria for District 4 (Southwest).
Team facilitators and speakers for the District 7 seminar were Fr. Alex K. Cola, Jr., Cebu Caritas president, Jon Neil Perfecio of the Cebu Archdiocese Social Advocacies (CASA), Benny Tan, Cebu Caritas Humanitarian Program coordinator, and Cebu Caritas Communications Head Atty. Maria Jane C. Paredes.
Fifty-six Parish Caritas lay coordinators and volunteers from the four vicariates of the Near North District attended the whole day seminar.
Fr. Kipling Agravante and Fr. Junly Cortes of the Gethsemane Parish Team of Pastors and their volunteers hosted the activity by providing the venue and the meals.
